Estimate ranges, not theater precision
A single number without assumptions trains clients to treat guesses as contracts. We publish ranges tied to clarified scope and open questions. Our SaaS Foundation package starts from $25,000 for multi-tenant foundations, auth, billing hooks, and an admin surface—typically 8–16 weeks. That is a starting point from past work, not a fixed quote. AI agents, offline mobile, multi-region compliance, or an unclear data model move you into paid discovery. If an agency gives you a PDF with one number and no assumptions list, they are selling confidence they have not earned. We would rather lose a bid than win a change-order war.
Price risk where it lives
Third-party APIs, unclear data models, and compliance reviews belong in the estimate explicitly. Hiding them creates change-order warfare later. Stripe webhooks, WhatsApp templates, Maps distance APIs, and “the client will provide assets” are classic risk lines. We write them as assumptions: if the vendor API has no sandbox, the range moves. If copy and photography arrive in week six, the calendar moves. US, UK, UAE, and KSA contracting does not change this discipline; Vyrrotech FZE and Vyrrotech Ltd engagements use the same SOW shape: known scope, assumptions, buffers, IP, 90-day warranty, 2-hour response on business days.
Discovery is cheaper than rework
A short paid discovery often saves a month of thrash. If the problem is still foggy, do not sell certainty. Discovery produces a module list, a target stack, and a range the founder can take to a board or a finance director. It is not a free sales workshop. We staff it with the people who would deliver, not a separate pre-sales theatre team. When discovery says the MVP is not an MVP, we say so before a contract. That is how 11-day rebuilds (KAYNS) and 83-task field platforms (FFM) stay honest: the calendar matched a frozen scope, not a slogan.
What a useful estimate document contains
Outcomes, out-of-scope list, milestone dates, named delivery lead, environments, and what would change the number. Ranges beat fake precision. Contingency is visible, not buried in a discount. We separate fixed-scope delivery from retainers so SEO or product engineering after launch is not pretending to be included. Pricing on this site is realistic starting points; every project still gets written acceptance criteria before billing. If you need a number for a custom SaaS MVP, the companion article on that topic exists—this piece is the method behind those ranges.
How clients accidentally inflate the number
Unscoped “just like Uber” feature lists, redesigns mid-sprint, missing product ownership, and committee review with no decision-maker. We ask for a problem owner on day one. If legal review of copy takes three weeks, that is on the calendar. If you want three visual directions and a rebuild of all of them, that is a different product. Estimates fail when uncertainty is hidden; they also fail when the client’s process is the uncertainty and nobody names it.
How to send a brief we can price
Goals, must-have workflows, constraints, markets, and whether IP and warranty matter (they should). Email hello@vyrrotech.com or use the contact form. Expect a 2-hour response on business days and a range tied to what you actually sent—not a placeholder. If we cannot do the work well at the budget, we will say no. That is the whole method.
What the range is allowed to include
Engineering, design of the flows we will build, staging, and the warranty. It does not silently include a brand identity, six months of SEO, or an AI agent unless those lines are on the page. SaaS Foundation from $25,000 is a starting band for multi-tenant web with auth and billing hooks. Offline mobile, RAG, and multi-region compliance are other bands. We would rather show three numbers with assumptions than one number with a smile. Vyrrotech FZE and Vyrrotech Ltd (Companies House 17364953) use that same estimate shape so US, UK, UAE, and KSA buyers are not comparing unlike documents. If another agency is cheaper because IP and warranty are missing, the sticker is not the cost.
