The problem
Pesticide distributors faced massive revenue leakage due to unverified field officer visits, delayed manual order submissions from remote agricultural regions, and lack of real-time inventory visibility. Paper tickets arrived days late. WhatsApp photos of handwritten orders could not be reconciled with warehouse stock. Executives could not see which territories were covered on a given day. The network dropped mid-write on rural routes, so any design that required a live connection was already a lie.
Our approach
VyrroTech engineered an enterprise solution consisting of a Kotlin native Android app for field staff with offline sync, paired with a Laravel 11 and Filament PHP admin hub. Delivered across 83 planned tasks in 4 agile sprints. Every create lands in a local SQLite queue with idempotency keys before the UI claims success. Conflict policy is explicit: sales orders are not last-write-wins. Admins see pending queues and device health.

Revenue leakage in the field
Two Pakistani pesticide and agro-chemical enterprises were losing orders and visibility because field officers worked where connectivity dies. Visit reports were unverifiable. Sales orders written on paper arrived days late. Inventory in the van and inventory in the warehouse did not match. Executives could not see which territories were covered on a given day. The brief was not a consumer app—it was an internal multi-tenant platform: live GPS-aware tracking for officers, offline order capture, inventory, and an admin hub for dispatch and analytics. There is no public site to screenshot; the product is the operating system for the field force.
Offline-first was non-negotiable
Rural agricultural routes drop mid-write. We designed the Android client so every create and update lands in a local SQLite queue with idempotency keys before the UI claims success. Sync is a background job with a visible pending state—not optimistic UI that pretends the server accepted an order it never saw. Conflict policy was written in plain language with the client: sales orders are not last-write-wins. When device and server disagree, the payload is flagged for human review rather than silently dropping a dealer’s order. Admins see queue health, failed payloads, and device status because invisible sync debt is how revenue leaks a second time.
Two surfaces, one engagement
The mobile client is Kotlin native Android. The admin hub is Laravel 11 with Filament PHP on MySQL, multi-tenant so two enterprises could share the platform shape without mixing data. REST APIs sit between them with the same tenant isolation as the UI. We planned 83 tasks across four agile sprints: auth and tenancy, offline capture, dispatch views, inventory, then executive reporting. Characterization of current paper processes happened in sprint zero so we were not inventing a workflow officers would ignore. Named delivery lead, staging APKs, and a 90-day bug warranty after cutover were part of the contract.

Those 83 planned tasks completed across the four sprints. Native Android with offline storage is the field architecture; Filament is the telemetry and sales-report hub. We do not publish dealer-count or GPS-accuracy marketing claims that are not in the client’s operating metrics on this page. What transferred to later field-ops work is the pattern: assume the network fails, show sync state, and never trust a client-supplied tenant ID. That same discipline shows up in our offline-sync and multi-tenancy writing, because this engagement is where those rules were proven under real rural connectivity, not a demo video on office Wi-Fi.
When this engagement is the right shape
Hire this pattern when your revenue depends on people in low-connectivity territory and your current system is WhatsApp plus spreadsheets. Do not hire it if you need a consumer marketplace or a public website—this build has no public URL by design. Sprint shape and what 83 tasks actually meant
Four sprints is only a useful number if the backlog is real work: auth and tenancy, offline capture and idempotent APIs, dispatch and inventory views, then executive reporting and device telemetry. We did not pad the count with “research spikes” that never ship. Each sprint ended with a staging APK and an admin the client could click. Characterization of paper processes in sprint zero stopped us from inventing statuses officers would ignore. After cutover, the 90-day warranty covered defects in sync, tenancy, and reporting—not a rewrite of the sales process. If you are scoping a similar field platform, budget time for conflict-policy workshops with sales leads, not only with IT. The people who lose commission when an order vanishes will tell you which rule is acceptable. Kotlin native was the right call here because offline SQLite and GPS-era Android APIs mattered more than a shared web codebase. We would choose Flutter when two OSes must ship together and connectivity is merely poor, not hostile. That distinction belongs in discovery, not in a framework war on a slide.
